Alphonsa Balabhavan, Vazhavara

Alphonsa Balabhavan was founded with the aim of ensuring that children from economically challenged families in the locality of Idukki do not lose out on their fundamental right to education. At present, 35 children reside here and receive education. Along with academics, a carefully crafted program is in place to instill moral and spiritual values essential for their overall development. The daily schedule begins at 5:30 AM with prayers, followed by the commencement of daily activities. Every day, the Christian children also participate in religious studies, including involvement in holy qurbana at the local church and other religious practices. During times of necessity, opportunities for counseling sessions and classes aimed at fostering the spiritual and psychological growth of the children are provided.
